Rose City Community Basketball Street Team will consist in bring differents areas, north, south, west and east best basketball players of norwich. The 1st event will be choosing the best 10 of each areas and will continue with the tournaments every saturday of the month, at the end the best team will win.I want to start a community basketball street team?

How would I go about starting a Homeschool Cheerleading Squad for the 2011 basketball season?
I am home schooled through CSTHEA where we have a very successful basketball team. However, we have no cheer leading squad nor a dance team. I would very much like to start one for the 2011 basketball season, but I am not entirely sure how I would go about doing so. If anyone has been through this before, I would really appreciate some step-by-step instructions regarding your success.How would I go about starting a Homeschool Cheerleading Squad for the 2011 basketball season?
1. you would need a coach or parent in charge
2. send out a newsletter encouraging other girls and boys to attend
3. im guessing you wouldnt need tryouts but probably a parent meeting
In the meeting you need:
1. find uniforms in advance online and get pricing and a picture of them
2. dates and times of practices and a copy of the basketball scedule
3. an area where you would practice with that places ok or pricing for that place
4. cost of the sport for uniform, pom pons etc
5. what the girls need to wear to practice

I am trying out for my schools basketball team, and I need a little bit more training, The tryouts are on November 10, does anyone know how I can improve all my basketball skills by that time? Since you don't have much time, I suggest you work on your defence because you can improve much faster in your defence compared to your offensive game. Work on your conditioning, and rebounding. By doing this, start with some suicides to warm up, then throw a ball as high as you can, and reach for it at the highest point in which you can rebound the ball.
Also, work on your dribbling, because most players are really sloppy at handling the ball, and you'll have an edge when on the offensive end (If you're playing pg). If you have pylons lying around, dribble around them as fast as you can, but still maintaining control WITH YOUR HEAD UP. ALWAYS KEEP YOUR HEAD UP. and practice your figure 8's, etc.
You can also put it time with your jumpshots, but don't focus on it too much, work on your free throws more

Defend. Coaches also tend to notice this. One of the best coaches I ever had told me this, "Some days shots fall and some days they don't, but you can play defense every day."
