How do High School Basketball players get recruited to college?

How do High School Basketball players get recruited to college?Do they play AAU and get recruited from that or they get recruited from high school? How do High School Basketball players get recruited to college?
It depends on what level of college, I would guess that most D-1 recruits play high school basketball and AAU. High School probably gets the most attention because there is a clearly defined high school basketball season with district and state championships but going to big AAU tournaments and doing well can also help a player get recruited. How do High School Basketball players get recruited to college?
AAU and high school are both important. You want t play as many games as possible because this increases your chances of being seen. Playing in games against other high profile players that you know are being watched and recruited is good too because recruiters will get a chance to see you play as well. Some colleges have open practices as well so you could go to those to be seen for sure. Obviously the most important thing to do is to get good!! It doesn't matter how many recruiters see you, if you suck you won't get recruited. How do High School Basketball players get recruited to college?
Most kids who are talented enough to play in college also play AAU ball. I knew a kid in high school who was about a 3 star recruit, and he played both high school and AAU ball, and his recruiters knew about both.

How come I feel pain all over your body after playing basketball?

I have not play basketball in a months, so when I played, the next day I feel sick and pain all over my body. I know it has to do with lack of exercise but is there ways to prevent it? How come I feel pain all over your body after playing basketball?
Well you depleted the oxygen in your muscles, and for two your muscles are not use to working out that hard. So what you need to do is eat food high in iron, gatorade to restore that electrolytes, and keep on working that muscle to make it use to working that hard. And have your wife ride it off.
It's simply a combination of your muscles not being used to working so hard and lactic acid build up. Unfortunately, all you can do is ride it out and keep working out, and it will all get better. But make sure that you are eating right and are getting correct nutrients because often, when there is physical activity, your muscles get tiny tears. But if you eat properly, your body can instantly heal this, and this will also help this pain to go away. Hope this helps! How come I feel pain all over your body after playing basketball?

How much to practice basketball on your own if you want to play college?

I am 11 years old and want to play college basketball. First I need to make the state championship team. The tryouts are in the fall. How much practicing should I do the rest of the school year (since I'm at school I can't practice as much) and in the summer. How much to practice basketball on your own if you want to play college?
You really need to concentrate on your studies before your recreation. If you do not have a passing GPA you won't play college ball-ever. The main thing to remember is that of the roughly 7000 college NCAA players, only about 45 will play at the pro level each year. There is much more to life than playing ball and the odds are heavily against you going pro. STUDY to become someone that will one day own a pro team. My Dad always said to work your mind instead of your back-your mind will hold up longer.
alot, practice everyday, don't ever take a day off,if you think you are playing bad than practice even more because failure will only give you strenght, you also have to like the game of basketball, you have to love it,it has to be a passion so you can motivate your self in practicing hard. How much to practice basketball on your own if you want to play college?
Lol a lot of practice my man.

If you wanna get real serious about this well:

500 lay ups a day

500 free throws a day

500 3 pointers a day.

Then run up and down hill to help your stride and speed.

Also lifting weights and doing sit ups as well should help but don't over do it.

Hope this helps and good luck.
If you are serious, every single day. I used to play basketball but switched to track. I run at a d2 school and im telling you, if you want to play any sport in college, you have to train everyday. What can i do to improve my basketball skills and improve my jumping?

I have basketball try outs in 4 weeks and i need some advice and tips on improving my basketball dribbling, shooting, and defense skills and how to improve my jumping ability. What can i do to improve my basketball skills and improve my jumping?
when it comes to dribbling i used to do crazy stuff to create muscle memory..

ie.. i used to run in circles while constantly going around my back, and just using one hand, then switching to the other hand and going in the opposite direction.. kind of hard to explain with words.. also just walk around the court dribbling between your legs without missing a beat, and no extra dribbles.. after awhile it becomes second nature, and when placed into that situation you will just react accordingly..

when it comes to defence just keep in mind that whoever you are guarding cannot go anywhere without his hips.. so keep his hips between you and the goal.. the second is always keep one hand down to try to pick off a cross over dribble(if he is dribbling with his right hand, then your right hand should be lower to try to steal the cross over, with your left hand higher to try and pick off the pass)

shooting is the easiest.. practice practice practice.. i used to shoot about 100 layups in a row everytime before i went home.. 50 on each side using the proper hand.. i would also shoot about 100 freethrows, 10 at a time throughout the time i was there.. when it comes to range you don't want to create bad habits, so you want to work on that before you get tired.. find your range, then add more too it, slowly but don't try to force it..

jumping is over rated.. if you just want to dunk, thats fine.. everyone at some point wants to dunk, but in a team sport where there are not alot of fast breaks how often will you get the chance.. i was the leading scorer on every team i ever played, and hated shooting.. if you really want to dunk its not just building strength.. let your heels hang off a step or curb and then work out like that.. push yourself up with just your toes, repeatedly ofcourse.. its the same basic concept of them dunk shoes..What can i do to improve my basketball skills and improve my jumping?
You should have asked this during the start of your summer break. You can't improve much in 4 weeks... All you can do at this point is go in the gym get as many shots up as you can everyday and work on your conditioning.

Jump 14 inches higher in 8 weeks:

How do you remove color that has been bled onto a basketball jersey?

I bought an older basketball jersey that I had customized, and when I had the number moved, there was some blueish color bleeding from where the blue numbers had been before. How can I remove this? How do you remove color that has been bled onto a basketball jersey?
i would try a bleach pen (but you should put some cardboard or something in the shirt to prevent the bleach from fading through the other side)
