How does a basketball court get slippery?

Also, I'm going to get a basketball hoop in my backyard this weekend. Will my floor get slippery very often? How does a basketball court get slippery?
Basketball courts get slippery from sweat or dust. Sweat is usually spotty, mainly from falls (a player hitting the ground and leaving a puddle).

The dust come from, well, everywhere dust comes from. One likely source is from the players' shoes.

In a community gym, it's common to sweep the floor of its dust between games. How does a basketball court get slippery?
Dust and sweat. if its a indoor court in ya backyard lucky you. those are the only things that will make it slick. unless u wax the hell outta it lol. outdoors the rain, and when its not completely dried from the rain will make it sweat. unless you have a major sweating problem sweat wont affect asphalt. you balling in the winter outside then black ice like on a street in the winter. How does a basketball court get slippery?
