Is erecting a basketball court at the White House fiscally responsible?

Obama plans to put up a basketball court so he and his home boys have a place to play. Do you think this is a wise use of taxpayer money? Couldn't he just play at a local DC park?Is erecting a basketball court at the White House fiscally responsible?
The cost of protection would far exceed the cost to put up the court.

The White House has many recreation areas: bowling alley, movie theater, etc. This is nothing new.
Do you really think it's a safe or wise idea for the President of the US to just go out to any old street corner court? Is erecting a basketball court at the White House fiscally responsible?
Playing in the park would probably cost more in the long run, with security details and all.
No, it's more cost effective to build the court at the White House.

If Obama were to use a local part it would require dozens of minders and police to prevent terrorists and/or domestic assassins from trying to kill him, and it would require an entire park to be closed off to the tax payers. This is more expensive than just providing him with a court of his own.Is erecting a basketball court at the White House fiscally responsible?
The Wizards will be palying a couple of pre-season games there, so ticket sales should more than cover the costs.
there is a gym in the white house, so maybe he will just add some hoops, and I hope he would not go to a local park so considering they get an allowance to make things to their liking, its money already there.
It will be okay. No he cannot play in the park. I am sure there will be more money wasted by our government on more foolish things.
