Next year I will be going into highschool %26amp; I am trying out for Basketball and we have this summer training and stuff. I have never actually played basketball on an actual team, but I do play it in gym and my friends say I am pretty good. So I just want to know what are some good workouts and some things like tricks or formations.|||learn the pick and roll, backcuts, and how to use a use/set a screen|||One thing you have to know it's ''basketball it is a team sport''.
Pratice hard with your team. And always have fun.
Pratice your handles and shooting abilities. And when the team it's on the court, you all have to be and maintain united each other.
Maybe you should run a lot too. And push-ups and suicides it's inevitable in basketball pratices and workouts.
Up and down stairs and remember, like I said, have fun!

I know that he said that about baseball, but I think same goes for basketball, and it's true. You play to win, but you play to win hard and have fun. Never overthink plays. Never worry about your stats or any records. Play hard and play having fun.|||There is no tricks in basketball. So your in eight i'm suspecting, so am i.I have made the team all three years so if your friends are saying your good and especially if you feel your pretty good then go for it. Suicides and liners will help a lot for quicknedd and endurance and shooting and dribbling just takes practice so do lots of it. Hope i helped. ;]|||Get your shot technique down..watch films on that, usually the old ones are just the same cuz shooting techniques havnt changd. Watch %26amp; learn basic plays, decide on what position is more suitable for you, height/stature/type of play. If your short learn how to pass %26amp; read plays %26amp; read defense %26amp; shoot outside over the trees. Defense, always put your hands up in the faces of those tall dudes. If your tall keep trying to get your vertical jump increased. Many techniques on doing that.
Mainly learn how to jump high, learn how to train %26amp; get your body into shape building stamina.
One other secret I like to share w/ ppl on how to get their vertical leap to increase is to possibly look into these shoes. They're called Jumpsoles. They target certain leg muscles %26amp; really are effective. I have several friends that have tried %26amp; stuck to the regiment/cd %26amp; by the time they were jr's they were dunking. Jumpsoles, CK IT! dam sound like a comm'l..lol... :
